On Day 11, the Para Athletics, Powerlifting, Canoe, and Wheelchair Basketball final medals will be given out before the Closing Ceremony, which will mark the conclusion of Paris 2024, takes place.

The last day of the Paris 2024 Paralympics is today! Wheelchair basketball, parapowerlifting, paracanoeing, and paraathletics will all have their final medals given out before the Games come to an end with a spectacular Closing Ceremony. Even though today is the finale, it hasn’t ended yet.

Marathon brings paraathletes to an end.

On day 11, there will be four marathons in the sport of para athletics, which is the most in terms of both athlete count and events on the Paris 2024 schedule.

In the women’s marathon T54, superstars Catherine Debrunner and Marcel Hug of Switzerland hope to dominate, while Misato Michishita of Japan hopes to retain her gold medal from Tokyo 2020 in the women’s marathon T12.

The participants will begin their journey in Seine-Saint-Denis and travel past the Place de la Concorde, the site of the Opening Ceremony, before taking part in the Champs-Elysees and passing by the Arc de Triomphe. The Esplanades de Invalides is where the finish line is situated.

Wheelchair basketball gold medal matches between the Netherlands and the USA will take place at Bercy Arena. The United States is going for its first gold since Rio 2016, while the Netherlands is the reigning Paralympic champion.

In the gold medal match, the Dutch team hopes to continue their spotless record of not losing a single game in Paris. The Netherlands beat the USA 69-56 in the first round.In the championship game, can the Netherlands repeat their success?

Earlier in the day, Canada and China will compete for the bronze medal; Canada hopes to place on the podium for the first time since Athens 2004.

Final thrilling events include parapowerlifting and paracanoeing.

On day 11, the paracanoe and parapowerlifting events will present the final medals for the sports. There will be four Para powerlifting finals at La Chapelle Arena and five Para canoe finals at Vaires-sur-Marne Stadium.

Nigeria’s Folashade Oluwafemiayo, who presently owns the world record of 165 kg in the women’s over 86 kg category, is one athlete to watch in the parapowerlifting globe.

Massive celebration” The Games conclude with the Closing Ceremony.

The Closing Ceremony, which is planned to be a “giant party” featuring performers from the French electronic music industry, will take place at the Stade de France, which hosted track and field sports during the Games.

The approximately 4,400 competitors from all around the world who competed in 22 sports will have their accomplishments honored at the ceremony.

The 2028 Games’ hosts, Los Angeles, will receive the Paralympic flag. Everyone should watch the Closing Ceremony, but especially those of you who were enthralled with the breathtaking Opening Ceremony on August 28.

This event (Paris Paralympics 2024) will end on September 8.
