Rock Band Emily Armstrong Is Selected by Linkin Park deceased Sara, the New Singer, Announces Her Tour and “From Zero” Album
In addition, the ensemble will include drummer Colin Brittain, a songwriter and producer for G Flip, Illenium, and One OK Rock.
Emily Armstrong from Dead Sara will join Linkin Park as a co-vocalist, the band announced on Thursday night during a live concert. In addition, the ensemble will include drummer Colin Brittain, a songwriter and producer for G Flip, Illenium, and One OK Rock.
The band’s first new song release in seven years, “The Emptiness Machine,” and the lead single from their next album “From Zero” were released along with the news. The album, which is the group’s first full-length release since 2017’s “One More Light,” which was released two months prior to lead vocalist Chester Bennington’s passing, will be released on November 15 (via Warner Records).
Together with its two new members, the group—which consists of Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn—will proceed on a six-date arena tour that stops in Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul, and Bogota. View the full itinerary for the excursion below.
On Thursday, Linkin Park gave their first-ever live performance in Los Angeles to ticketed attendees who were driven to a studio lot via bus. For the following 24 hours, Linkin Park’s main web channels will host live streaming of the event.
A press statement stated that Shinoda, Delson, Farrell, and Hahn “quietly began meeting up again in recent years” and that they “found a special kinship with Armstong and Brittain” rather than “trying to restart the band.” They collaborated with a variety of artists.

In a statement, Shinoda discussed the new cha
pter, saying, “Our original band name was Xero before Linkin Park. The title of this CD alludes to both our modest beginnings and the current adventure. It embraces our unique sound while being fresh and vibrant, reflecting the past, present, and future both sonically and emotionally. It was created with a great deal of gratitude for our friends, family, fans, and both new and old bandmates. We are thrilled about the trip that lies ahead and proud of what Linkin Park has become throughout the years.
It is claimed that “The Emptiness Machine” “channels the DNA of Linkin Park.” The band is “weaving together the sonic touchpoints we’ve been known for and still exploring new ones,” according to Shinoda, who also stated that they feel “really empowered with this new lineup and the vibrant and energized new music we’ve made together.”
LP Underground fan club members will be able to purchase pre-sale tickets for the “From Zero” tour beginning on September 6. On September 7, the general sale will begin the following day.
This announcement comes after the earlier this spring publication of Linkin Park’s “Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2023).” The 20-song album featured the top singles from the band’s more than two-decade career. With tracks like “In the End,” “Burn It Down,” and a Jay-Z mash-up, “Numb/Encore,” along with “Lost,” it was released by Warner Records. This helped push its parent album, “Meteora,” back into the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart.
